Extra Credit!

Recently, we experienced the ten year anniversary of 9/11. We've also been learning about informational texts. Here's what you need to do for your extra credit assignment:

1. Research the events of 9/11. You need at least three sources. Make sure those sources are reliable.
2. Write a one page article about your research. The first half page should summarize what you learned. The second half page should express your opinion about what you learned.
3. Turn in your article along with a bibliography for your sources. If you're not sure how to do a bibliography, come talk to me and I will show you how.

This will be worth 10-20 points, depending on the quality of the work.

Dr. Seuss, Word Guru

Dr. Seuss coined the term "nerd" in his book If I Ran the Zoo. He also wrote The Cat in the Hat using only 50 words. It sounds easy, but writing a book with very few words is actually pretty dang hard!
